Kong is finally returning to the Universal Orlando Resort in the coming summer of 2016. The new ride experience will be located at Islands of Adventure and will be entitled ‘Skull Island: Reign of Kong’. The show building is currently being built and it is HUGE! This will surely even up the popularity stakes between the two Universal parks, and likely push the technological bar far higher than any other current attraction in Orlando.
However, while we wait for this to open, this author was forwarded a tidbit of information on the naming of the new vehicles for the ride. Supposedly, guests will queue up in the ‘8th Wonder Expedition Company’ queue line before trekking off for a nice 1-2-1 encounter with old banana breath himself!
