Mike’s meetings of last week (covered by us here) must have been very successful as today it was confirmed by Universal Orlando that Leatherface would be returning to HHN this fall.  Last seen at the event in 2007, the character and his weird twisted world of anarchy has long been a fan favorite.

In 2007 his house was named ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Flesh Wounds’ and was presented in the now defunct Earthquake queue building.  The semi-outdoors environment lent itself to the house where guests of the event explored the Hewitt residence with all it’s twisted and tortured odds and ends.  It contained the iconic steel door and chainsaws aplenty.  It was topped-off with a final chase through the linen sheets as per the original icon 1970s picture. Universal described the house as “Trapped in the Hewitt family home, you are hunted by the chainsaw wielding Leatherface and his family of freaks.”

Universal says:

Saws and screams are coming to Halloween Horror Nights 26 with the return of Leatherface and “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.” Halloween Horror Nights®, the nation’s premier Halloween event, puts you right into some of the most pulse-pounding moments in horror history. On select nights from September 16th through October 31st, 2016, the streets of Universal Studios Florida® theme park come alive with hordes of horrifying mutants, monsters and maniacs.

Our opinion?  BRING IT ON.  This was an awesome house in 2007 and we at the HHNU news desk could not be more excited!  Did you manage to see the original house?  How excited are you for this news?  Let us know!
