Bill and Ted to Return!

Excellent news dudes! In news today that will delight the legions of Bill and Ted fans around the world (including my good buddy Logan from our HHN podcast – ScareZone), the bodacious dude duo are set to return to a big screen near you!

Keanu Reeves was recently the guest of the BBC’s Graham Norton Show and he had this to say about the upcoming project:

“Bill and Ted are still alive. The writers have a story and we’re trying to make it. Basically, they’re supposed to write a song to save the world and they haven’t done that. The pressure of having to save the world, their marriages are falling apart, their kids are kind of mad at them, and then someone comes from the future and tells them if they don’t write the song it’s just not the world, it’s the universe. So they have to save the universe because time is breaking apart.”

IMDB lists the project as being in official pre-production since October 2016 with a speculated spring shooting schedule.

But will this effect Halloween Horror Nights?

Since year 2 of HHN, Orlando has had a Bill and Ted Show every single year; the history of which you can read in our unofficial guide to HHN. The show has also run every year since the last Bill and Ted movie was released, ergo there’s never been a year when a B&T movie was in theaters.  The likelihood of the duo’s show returning to HHN for HHN27 is as strong as it has ever been, the show is a friggin’ mainstay! So will it be going anywhere? Probably not.

But will it effect the show? It’s unlikely but it could make for a great dynamic should the new movie come out during the run of HHN. They could possibly have the current duo and their future selves interacting with each other for comedic effect. Heck if they can lampoon anyone it should be themselves too!

Are you excited for the dudes return to the big screen?
