AHS Set to Become the New TWD

Yep, you read that right, American Horror Story (yet to be announced by Universal) will soon take-up the place left by the departing zombie franchise and be welcomed back to HHN on an annual basis.  You also heard it here first!

For those who have not seen the series it is an anthology based horror television series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Described as a horror collection series, each season is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a different set of characters and settings, and a storyline with its own beginning, middle, and end.  Some plot elements are loosely inspired by true events.

So what’s happening?  We’re hearing that an announcement could be any day, in fact, as you’re reading this they’ve probably announced it.  ScareZone also has this trouble with getting announcements out!  The reason behind the lack of announcement on AHS is the fact that internally, the marketing department wanted to do a joint announcement on the 5th or 12th September with the Network announcing the new season of the show.  What with everyone questioning why the house has not been announced, leads us to think that the house will probably be announced any day now.  This limbo in announcements has effectively lead the house to become one of the best / worst kept secrets in the event’s history!

So what’ll be in the house?  The house will feature all the best scares from three different seasons.  The seasons will be: 1, 4 and 5.  Season One was called ‘Murder House’ and was released in 2011.  The story takes place in the present day and follows the Harmon family who move from Boston to Los Angeles and soon meet the former residents of their new home.

Season Four was ‘Freak Show’ (2014 – 15) which was about the quiet town of Jupiter, Florida and follows a struggling freak show led by Elsa Mars.  Decades have passed since the public has looked upon freak shows as a form of entertainment, but Elsa dreams of finding a home for her “monsters”, as well as her own fame.   The image of this season has been teased by us, other sites and HHN’s own Twitter handle.

The other season to feature will be Season Five’s ‘Hotel’ (2015 – 16).  Set in Los Angeles in the haunted, retro Hotel Cortez which was built to become a torture chamber for the customers by the founder James Patrick March. The wardens of the hotel include the 111-year-old vampire, Elizabeth Johnson, and the front sinister desk clerk and manager, Iris.

So what’s next?  Next year’s HHN27 will feature seasons 2, 3 and 6. ‘The Asylum’ (2012 – 2013), ‘The Coven’ (2013 – 2014) and the new unnamed Season 6, which will air this Fall.  Season Six is rumoured to be called ‘The Lost Colony’.  Whether these three seasons will be collected together in one house, multiple houses or on the streets is unknown.

The Walking Dead is set to leave this year’s HHN after an impressive record breaking five year run at the event.  From the information we have found it appears AHS is set to be with HHN for at least this and next year, with a future potential for more houses after this, effectively making AHS the new TWD!
